I will be running a Chirp beacon this Es season if all goes to plan.
It is not automatically enabled every day so operation will be sporadic.

It is centered on 50.434500 where you can listen the CWID very 5minutes.
Chirping is +/-1KHz of this frequency.

    Chirp Rate: 2KHz/s
    Chirp Freq Span: 2KHz
    Sweep Time: 1 second

The chirp Frequency is swept in the up direction, future test will include up/down sweeping.
The chirp start is triggered at each 1pps signal from my GPS receiver

The Tx is AD9852 DDS module with some very crude PIC BASIC code i make quite a few years back, but i could not be bothered to convert it yet!
Rx is currently the SpectrumLab decoder

I am still working on a software based receiver using the rtlsdr dongle, this is working but only the basics in Linux and very processor intensive.

Here is an example plot of the SpectrumLab Decoder

    SpectrumLab Example

And a plot from last season showing refelction from Es, not the best example but shows a result with <20W ERP at the Tx!
